Design philosophy

Our design philosophy begins with honoring history while forging the future. The Kwaiback Fixed Blade is directly inspired by the venerable Kwaiken, a Japanese fixed blade traditionally carried for self-defense. We took the core principles of that slim, fast, and effective design and modernized it for uncompromising reliability and everyday utility.

The goal was to create the ultimate EDC fixed blade. Every curve and angle serves a purpose. The integrated forward hand guard and the hidden rear palm swell in the 3D-textured G10 handle lock the knife into your hand, making it feel like a natural extension of your body. We chose CPM 20CV steel for its exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance, ensuring that the blade's performance matches its robust design. The "Fallout Black" finish provides a durable, non-reflective surface that stands up to the rigors of hard use. This is a tool designed and built to be a trusted companion for a lifetime.

MK3

The Kwaiback Fixed blade was first made in 2009, and has since gone through 3 major design changes and several variants in thickness, handle material, and handle textures.

The current MK3 will be the gold standard for the time to come. Redefining what a quality fixed blade should be. Ergonomics have been adjusted to be more comfortable in hand and on the belt. Blade has been thinned slightly and the bevel geometry has been changed to a more robust tip and thinner cutting edge.
