When we designed the Kwaiback MK7, the goal wasn't just to build the ultimate folding Kwaiken; it was to build a chassis that you can evolve. This Custom Titanium Backspacer is a foundational piece of the MK7 Parts Ecosystem, allowing you to fine-tune the aesthetics, balance, and utility of your tool.

Why Upgrade to a Titanium Backspacer?

While the standard standoffs offer a lightweight, flow-through design, installing a solid Titanium Backspacer changes the physics and feel of the knife:

• Structural Rigidity: Creates a solid "box" construction for maximum frame strength during hard use.
• Balance Shift: Adds a small amount of bias to the rear of the handle, making the knife feel more "planted" in the hand during deployment.
• Edge Protection: A full-length backspacer prevents keys, coins, or pocket lint from engaging the blade edge while the knife is closed.

Like every component in the MK7 ecosystem, these backspacers are machined right here in Idaho under my direct supervision. We use Grade 5 (6Al-4V) Titanium—the same aerospace-grade alloy used in our frames—to ensure perfect mechanical compatibility.
